What is Style?

Honestly, I am not sure what style truly is, but here is my stab at it.
I think that style is each writer’s way in which he or she writes. Just as each individual person has their own style in the way that we dress, walk, etc., we all have our own writing style. Everyone has different interests, different ways that they compose our ideas, and different ways that we portray our ideas.
I think that style also has to do with what we are writing. If I am assigned a research paper, my writing style is going to be a lot different than it is when I write a blog, for example.
